How Long Does It Take To Beat Marvel's Wolverine?

After being announced more than four years ago, it’s fair to say that Marvel’s Wolverine is one of the most anticipated PlayStation games in some time, and definitely in the PS5's lifetime.

Despite coming from Spider-Man developer Insomniac, Wolverine is a much more linear and straightforward game, but that doesn't make it short by any means. Here’s how long you can expect it to take.

Marvel Wolverine’s main campaign is split into 30 chapters, which take Logan all around the world as he tries to recover his lost memories. Outside of a few more open locations, most of the chapters in the game are fairly linear and have a specific path to follow that’s filled with setpieces, character-driven moments, and a ton of combat.

If you’re not interested in side content and just want to see the story through to the end, then you’re looking at around 12 to 15 hours to beat Marvel's Wolverine, depending on your skill level and difficulty. As I said, it’s a lot more linear than something like Marvel’s Spider-Man, and there’s a laser focus on the overall story that doesn’t waste much time.

Just because Marvel’s Wolverine is more linear doesn’t mean there’s not more to see and do in the main campaign. Each chapter has its own set of collectibles to find, including whisky bottles, material crates to unlock suits, and Nightmare Doors with special challenges to beat to earn different ratings.

Completing all of the Nightmare Doors is important for the story, as it unlocks an epilogue with plenty of story details.

Almost all of these collectibles are pretty easy to find, as Logan’s senses mean that he’ll highlight and comment on most of them. They’re not too hidden away, either, so you won’t end up spending too much time trying to track them down, especially if you pay attention to Logan’s senses.

If you’re keeping an eye out for these collectibles as you go through the main campaign, it’s pretty easy to 100 percent Wolverine on your first playthrough. It ended up taking me around 20 hours in total to find and beat everything in the game on Normal difficulty, which I mostly did without needing to replay any chapters.
