The folks over at The Coalition have shared their first major update for Gears of War: E-Day since the full release on October 6th, with today's patch said to be a "significant" one that "impacts all areas of the game".
Most of this is centered around making various fixes to the likes of the campaign, Horde Siege and Versus, but it's also notable that they've made "numerous improvements" to "stability and optimization across applicable hardware configurations", as well as to "address crashing and performance degradation during long play sessions".
In addition to all of this, Ranked Versus was officially added to Gears of War: E-Day last night, and a few adjustments have been made to placement matches to ensure players are being placed in the right skill divisions.
"Yesterday, we launched Ranked Versus and quickly noticed an issue with placement matches that resulted in some players being placed in the wrong skill division. We have now addressed this issue and placement matches should accurately determine your rank."
We'll leave you with the full patch notes for today's Gears of War: E-Day update below, and you should find it available to download on your Xbox console / PC within the next few hours at most.
