The Open Sesame quest in The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone requires you to recruit either Quinto or Casimir for the final heist, and your choice will have consequences for the finale. Below, we'll share how you can recruit each of them, what happens to either of them, and which one we recommend you pick for the smoothest heist.
I'd recommend choosing Quinto for a stealthy heist, but the outcome of the heist itself remains the same. Below, I'll share details on how to recruit Casimir and Quinto so you know how to get either character on your team (and what they do during the heist).
If you want to recruit Casimir, you need to go to Alness, where you'll find Casimir on top of his house ready to blow himself up in response to his wife's affair. You must select the second dialogue option, or Casimir will kill himself:
Selecting these dialogue options will cause Casimir to come down from his suicide attempt and attempt to fight you with a torch, so beat him up with your swords and he will surrender. However, if you decide that you don't want him on the team, he will kill himself anyway.
Casimir will side with Edwald in the heist, and he will also blow up the vault door, which forces you to fight the guards. However, he does destroy a floor trap that will stop you from having to fight 4 Arachnomorphs.
To recruit Quinto, head east of the Herbalist's Hut, where you will find Hans of Cidaris. You need to talk to Quinto in the cage, where Hans will demand you pay 200 Crowns to free Quinto. You can either haggle to lower the price, play Gwent to set him free, or simply fight and kill Hans by insulting him.
Quinto will side with Horst in the heist, and he will allow you to stall the negotiator to avoid a fight with the guards. However, he doesn't disarm the floor trap in the vault, which forces you to fight 4 Arachnomorphs.
