Nintendo Direct has officially announced the release date of a brand new Nintendo Sports, and this time it’s going to be fully open-world, with exciting activities.
Nothing says Nintendo like a good sports game, whether you grew up playing Wii Sports on the older console or tried your hand at a good bit of basketball on Nintendo Switch Sports that released back in 2022.
Well, a new one is on the way, though this time it’s bringing something new alongside some additional activities. This time it’s going to be open world.
Announced during the Nintendo Direct on September 9, a brand new Nintendo Switch Sports was announced, otherwise known as Nintendo Switch Sports Resort.
During the trailer, we saw various different activities, with twelve sports made available, including table tennis, archery, basketball, skateboarding, flying, power cruising, sumo wrestling, bowling, golf, thumb wrestling, and boxing.
However, alongside the sports, you can freely explore Wuhu Island, with the trailer showcasing skateboarding, flying, and jet skiing (while chasing dolphins) as useful ways to get around.
While exploring, fans can search for hidden hibiscus flowers and collect photos to get information on different sightseeing spots around the island.
On top of that is the new Island Crown mode, which pits you against seasoned champions for an additional challenge, and a Pro League, which has you competing against equal challengers and climbing as high as you can.
