Swamp Thread is a basic crafting material in Runescape: Dragonwilds that players can make by putting Swamp Weed in a Spinning Wheel. This material is very easy to make, but getting Swamp Weed can be a struggle for players who are inadequately prepared, as it can only be obtained in the Bloodblight Swamp region east of the Fractured Plains. Swamp Weed is also a little tricky to find, but if you want to get tons of them when playing Runescape: Dragonwilds, you can easily find some by exploring the Bloodblight Swamp's local vault.
Swamp Weed can be found all over the Bloodblight Swamp, but since they're so small, they can be hard to see in the swamp's dark, gassy environment. The best way to find Swamp Weed is to enter Kletterbuja Kara, the dungeon found in the southern part of Bloodblight Swamp.
The entrance to this dungeon is along the bottom of the cliff wall by big Garou camp to the southeast. Make your way to the bottom, close to the pool of toxic sludge, then enter Kletterbuja Kara from there.
Once you're inside the dungeon, look around for some weeds growing on the ground. Swamp Weeds are much easier to see here due to the contrast between them and the environment. You'll also see other plants growing in this dungeon like Toadflax and Snapdragons, both of which are used in producing potions.
If you're a fan of archery, it's also worth noting that the Kletterbuja Kara dungeon has Dragonkin Statues that, when interacted with, unlock the crafting recipes for the Wild Archer set, which provides improved stealth speed and Weakspot damage, and it reduces the stamina cost of ranged attacks as well. The Wild Archer set's defenses are solid for its tier, but you need Gold Bars in order to craft its individual pieces.
Vault dungeons like Kletterbuja Kara are typically occupied by Constructs, which are weak to Crush damage. When exploring these locations, consider bringing a mace or hammer, then use Enchant Weapon: Air spell to increase your attack speed (Constructs resist Bleeding, Poison, and Burning effects).
Once you've acquired enough Swamp Weed, go back to your base and throw them all into your Spinning Wheel. The amount of Swamp Weed needed to make Swamp Thread is affected by your world's settings — if you want to get more thread per weed, reduce the Crafting Cost Scale.
Swamp Thread is needed for a variety of Iron-tier Bows and Crossbows, as well as the Blightwood Battlestaff. You'll also need some to craft the Abyssal Whip, which you can get the recipe for by defeating the Abyssal Demon that spawns near the border between Bloodblight Swamp and the Fractured Plains.
