In a post titled "The Next Chapter for Bungie," the company's Studio Head, Poria Torkan, and Head of Product and General Manager of Marathon, Josh Deane, share their plans for their two existing franchises, stating that Destiny is foundational to the studio. As such, before exploring new Destiny projects, Bungie is committed to unvaulting all of Destiny 2 content and making it available in the game for all players. This is likely to be a free release for those who already own Destiny 2. According to Bungie, "removing these experiences had a lasting impact on player trust and enjoyment of Destiny," continuing, "We are beginning the work of bringing vaulted Destiny 2 campaigns, destinations, and raids." However, Bungie also notes that this process is not simple, and it will require months of work to achieve.
