Back-to-back Star Fox news? What are the odds?
Nintendo had a dynamic duo of Star Fox drops for us in today's Direct. It kicked things off with the reveal that the recent Switch 2 release will soon be getting a free update, adding new Battle Mode stages and split-screen options (only at 30fps, mind) for those after a bit more competition. What's more, you'll be able to play with up to four players on a single system. Nice.
This'll arrive on the scene on 30th September, so not long to wait.
But there's also news today, as the GameCube NSO library is finally graced with the arrival of Star Fox Adventures. We at Nintendo Life have been waiting for this dino adventure game ever since the GC library was announced, so we couldn't be more excited to dive back into it today.
Gosh, after waiting all these years for Star Fox news, 2026 has been positively packed. We're eating good, Lylat fans!
