During Pokémon XP this week, it was announced the new stop-motion series 'Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu' by Aardman (Wallace & Gromit) would be a Disney exclusive.
This included a new look teaser trailer, with the full series scheduled to stream worldwide "exclusively" on Disney+ in 2027. It will also be available on Disney XD.
The new stop-motion is set in the Galar Region and will see Sirfetch'd and Pichu set out on a gallant quest to help and protect Pokémon across the region.
As part of this agreement, the classic animation Pokémon the Series: The Beginning (starring Ash and Pikachu) is now streaming on Disney+ and Disney XD in the US and "select" markets outside of this location.
If we hear anything else about Pokémon's new partnership and distribution deal with Disney, or the new series, we'll provide an update.
