The Dragon Ball theme park was announced back in 2024 and is set to open by 2029, with construction only beginning in Saudi Arabia this year. The Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, is apparently a fan of the Dragon Ball franchise, leading to the multi-year-long endeavor. In the midst of the first Dragon Ball theme park being built, other countries are clamoring for their own piece of Akira Toriyama's masterpiece.
Fortunately, Shenron has listened to fans' wishes and the Dragon Ball theme park is officially coming to Europe. There's still no word of the United States of America getting its own Dragon Ball theme park, but it's only a matter of time before Goku and the rest of the Z-Fighters come stateside. Just don't expect anything until the 2030s, at the very least.
Reuters reported earlier today that France will be opening their own Dragon Ball theme park near Paris, with a budget of $7 billion. French President Emmanuel Macron and the crown prince of Saudi Arabia reportedly bonded over their shared love of Dragon Ball when Macron was in Saudi Arabia last year, which led to them discussing the possibility of bringing the Dragon Ball theme park over to France, as well.
Given the sheer scope of the project, it will take many years before construction is completed, let alone begins. The Saudia Arabia project was announced in 2024, but actual development didn't begin until earlier this year. If Dragon Ball France follows the same pace, construction won't start until 2028 and won't end until 2031. This is all spectacular, of course. There are currently no projected completion dates for any phase of Paris' Dragon Ball park.

Reuters did reveal that the park will be near Cergy-Pontoise, close to Paris, and will create roughly 22,000 jobs. Reuters also writes, "French officials cast the Dragon Ball Z project as evidence that France remains a magnet for foreign investment." What the Dragon Ball theme park will consist of remains to be seen, but given the series' action-packed focus and Goku's trademark appetite, expect plenty of thrill rides and food fit for a Saiyan.
