After years of waiting for the next step in VR from Valve, the Steam Frame finally got a full unveiling, showing off its price, features, and accessories. While the reaction from players has been a bit mixed so far, there are still plenty of incentives that will likely make the Steam Frame incredibly hard to get hold of once it drops.

You must be 18 years or older, live in the US, Canada, UK, EU, or Australia, and have made a purchase on Steam before April 27, 2026, to qualify for a Steam Frame pre-order.
On September 18, selected users will be sent an email link that gives you the ability to make Steam Frame purchases for 72 hours, before the permission is revoked. You won't have to wait to find out either, as Steam will also email everyone who wasn't included, putting them on a waitlist for the next available wave.

You can currently only buy the Steam Frame's accessories alongside your purchase and are not being sold separately at the moment.
The Steam Frame notably doesn't come with a dedicated charger, making the PSU especially valuable for those who don't own a Steam Deck or have access to a 45W charger of their own to power the device. Third-party sites are also planning to offer compatible Steam Frame accessories like Color Passthrough with Arcturus Vision to allow for high-resolution augmented reality, alongside Prescription Inserts for those with glasses through Zenni, with more information being made available at a future date.
