A Beginner's Guide To Modding Star Wars Zero Company

Star Wars Zero Company is developing a passionate modding community. This is despite the fact that the game doesn't actually have official mod support, making it a little harder for both mod authors and enthusiasts.

However, it certainly isn't impossible. If you're playing Star Wars Zero Company on PC, you just have to take a few more steps before you start downloading whatever you'd like from Nexus Mods. Here's how to get started on your Star Wars Zero Company modding journey, and some great mods to try out.

Because Star Wars Zero Company doesn't have official mod support, any would-be modders will have to get by without a shared framework right out of the box.

Luckily, modders are used to working with games like this. UE4SS is an open-source plugin that makes it easier to mess with games running on Unreal Engine 4 and 5. UE4SS is made with modders in mind, so many mods for Star Wars Zero Company will need the following download to function: UE4SS for Star Wars Zero Company. Install it before you go after anything else.

Really, this is an optional step. But if you're new to modding, I highly recommend ZCOM Mod Manager.

As with any mod manager, this tool lets you select any mod you've downloaded and have it installed in the correct location automatically. This also lets you turn off certain mods with the press of a button, rather than having to follow the uninstall process every time you want to get rid of something.

Many of the most popular mods are compatible with the ZCOM Mod Manager. If a mod isn't compatible, you will get a pop-up saying that it was unable to install the mod for you. You can choose to install mods manually, but keep track of what you've installed this way, in case there's a chance it's conflicting with something else later on.
