MW4 DMZ players can now earn up to 20k cash from a single Dynamic Op, while Side Ops and mission steps are also getting a payout boost.
If there's one thing you can never have enough of in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, it's money. Whether you're replacing lost gear or trying to get your bank balance back on track, you'll want to make sure every deployment is worth your time. Thankfully, the latest update makes that a little easier, with substantial increases to activity rewards.
According to the latest Modern Warfare 4 patch notes from Infinity Ward, Dynamic Ops now pay between $10k and $20k, up from the previous $5k to $10k. If you've been putting off tackling these bigger objectives, there's now a much better reason to get stuck in. Side Ops have also received a rather generous increase. Previously offering just $500, completing one will now earn you $2000. That's four times the previous reward, making smaller activities a much more worthwhile way to top up your bank.
There's a little extra money available for mission progression, too. The cash reward for completing individual mission steps has increased from $300 to $500 per step. It isn't quite as exciting as potentially walking away with $20k from a Dynamic Op, but every little helps when you're trying to build up stash. These changes should make recovering after a particularly rough deployment less of a slog.
Losing an operator or burning through your equipment can leave you needing a decent injection of money, so having more rewarding Side Ops gives you another option if you don't fancy committing to a larger objective. In fact, five completed Side Ops now offer the same minimum Dynamic Ops reward. Naturally, Dynamic Ops remain the bigger payday if you can see them through, but smaller activities might be what you need in a pinch.
It's a welcome change to the DMZ economy, and hopefully one that makes getting back into the action a little less painful. The next MW4 DMZ map launches on Friday, November 6, 2026, with the release of Modern Warfare 4 Season One. The mode's new locale, X01, looks to be taking inspiration from Building 21, the limited-time map from 2022's Modern Warfare 2. If that's anything to go by, some pretty tasty PvP skirmishes are on the cards.
