Mortal Shell 2: Warden's Stone Location and Effects Overview (Great Martyr's Blade Frost Infusion)

The Warden's Stone is an Infusion Tarstone that's exclusive to the Great Martyr's Blade in Mortal Shell 2. To get it, you'll need to enter the Conqueror's Domain through the Corrupted Gate in the Abbey region and reach Urrig the Executioner near the Winterglass Lake Beacon. The areas involved here are all fairly high-level, so you'll want to make sure you're strong enough before you try getting this Tarstone in Mortal Shell 2.

First, you'll need to reach the Sester's Gate Beacon in the Abbey to the southeast of Marrow Keep. To get there, go to the Outskirts of Mammon, then use the bone gate past the bear-trap-filled siege camp. Follow the main path, then use jump pads and bone gates to reach the Abbey Entrance Beacon. From there, it's an almost straight shot to Sester's Gate. Tag the Beacon, cleanse it, then enter the now-cleansed gate to reach the Conqueror's Domain.

Once you reach the snowy mountain biome, just keep progressing forward until you reach the frozen lake. The Winterglass Lake Beacon is next to the stairs before the broken bridge. Rest up to regain your resources, then use your Sidearm to ring the bells near the bridge — one is at the bottom of the left side, and the other is across the gap on the other side.

From here, it's a straight shot to Urrig's boss arena. He's not that tough of a boss, but he has a lot of unblockable attacks, and he can freeze you solid if you let him hit you enough times. Be patient, dodge his moves, then hit him back until he goes down. Defeating Urrig will net you the Warden's Stone.

The Warden's Stone infuses the Great Martyr's Blade with Frost, causing it to freeze enemies after hitting them enough times. This effect is fantastic considering how slow the Great Martyr's Blade's attacks are, and it even works against the vast majority of bosses in Mortal Shell 2. Like other Infusion Tarstones, fully-upgrading the Warden's Stone makes its effect permanent.

This is one of the best Tarstones you can equip on the Great Martyr's Blade, and that's largely due to the crowd control it provides. Use the weapon's sprinting attack to gain invulnerability and cleave through groups of enemies, and once you freeze your target, wail on them with your attack combos.

The freeze effect from the Warden's Stone also enables the third effect from Eredrim's Apathy skill, which makes him deal 200% more damage to frozen enemies. You'll essentially be hitting for triple the usual damage if you use this weapon and Tarstone combo with Eredrim.
