The PS5 demo for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which released almost three months back, has just received a significant update.
Those who already have said demo downloaded just need to pull a patch — a hefty 9.6GB patch, mind — while newcomers can simply grab the full thing from the PS Store.
So, what's new? Well, the demo was already quite meaty, offering up a good chunk of gameplay from the title's first main story mission.
Previously, the demo came to an end after a big boss fight against fellow undead swordsman Sasaki Ganryu. This extended version takes you beyond that, through a new, otherworldly location, and concludes with a second boss battle against a giant demon named Daidara.
Again, progress made in the demo doesn't carry over to the full game — which is out in just over a week on the 4th September. But completing it does net you some exclusive in-game rewards.
