To find a way to unlock the door in chapter 4, locate the glowing symbols on the wall and follow the trail to the corresponding mechanism in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
After an intense fight where Sophia and Leni manage to kill all soldiers, push the huge door open to find a single mechanism in the middle with an empty socket. Insert the sphere or key into the socket to add a new feature. Sophia can now reveal hidden secrets using the key when standing in a light source.
Three mechanisms emerge from the ground that contain a bunch of letters. You need to rotate the wheel to point at the correct symbol to open the door. The mechanisms are located on the left, center, and right sides of the room. Here's how to solve the puzzle to unlock the door in chapter 4:
Hold up the sphere to reveal the secret symbols on the mural. Each symbol has a blue-green trail leading down and leading to the correct mechanism. While holding the sphere up, follow the trail from the wall all the way to the socket in which you insert the sphere and rotate the wheel full of symbols. Make sure the letter you need is inside the square on top.
Once you repeat the same process on the other two mechanisms, the door opens. It will take a couple of seconds to work, so be patient. Sophia and Leni comment on the door if you've done everything correctly.
What's waiting for you on the other side is a huge statue and a long way down. This symbol puzzle is barely the beginning of chapter 4, so players have a lot more riddles to solve.
