While the release of the next installment in the franchise with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is only a few weeks away, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is still offering plenty of new content for players to enjoy in its latest season. As noted by Charlieintel on X, in celebration of Black Ops 7's newest season, 'The Haunting,' Call of Duty's latest entry will be getting a crossover with none other than the Doom franchise.
It isn't just a Doom collaboration fans can look forward to either, as the 6th season, 'The Haunting,' will also introduce new and updated versions of existing maps with a new horror-themed twist, weapons, operators, a zombie Rogue Run update, and a limited-time event for Endgame.
With a focus on both Doom and Doom: Eternal, Black Ops 7 players will be able to purchase a Doom-themed Event Pass when the new season goes live on September 24, which offers the following free rewards simply by playing the game, earning XP, and completing challenges:
To unlock all the Doom-themed cosmetics, however, you'll have to purchase the premium version of the Event Pass, which includes several of the biggest draws like the Doom Slayer operator, Doom Guy operator skin, several weapon blueprints, and more, which will cost around $10 if the previous passes are anything to go by.
Compared to some of Black Ops 7's more controversial collaboration skins, the Doom-themed event pass has been receiving plenty of praise from fans, with the Doom Eternal skin and operator being gorgeous adaptations of the FPS legend even with the added price tags.
On top of the free offerings and event skins, Black Ops 7 players will also be able to purchase the Demonic Essence Tracer Pack for additional cosmetic goodies themed after the villains of the series like the Icon of Sin and Doom Eternal's Marauders, which includes the following:
Even without the bonuses included in the paid offerings, the latest season still has plenty of incentives to return to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 with all the new content arriving in the latest season, especially since it will help pass the time while waiting for the next major entry in the series, which the Doom Slayer's design would feel right at home in.
