The Storm Scout Sprite appears in the loot pool for the first time during the Fortnite Sonic Hours beginning on Saturday, August 29 at 2 PM ET and 9 PM ET.
The Storm Scout Sprite is similar to the Cube Sprites from the previous Fortnite season, since its effect kicks in once you are in the Storm. After taking 10 Storm damage, the Storm Scout Sprite will give you Overdrive for a short duration. The duration for which Overdrive is in effect will depend on the level, starting at 10 seconds and then capping out at 20.
As a reminder, Overdrive gives you unlimited stamina, faster movement speed, and increased jump height for a short duration. At max rarity, the Storm Scout will also reveal future Circles on the map, making it a must-use for the later game. Just like other Sprites, the Storm Scout Sprite levels up through regular Sprite XP earned through eliminations, opening containers, and extracting Sprites.
