Bandai Namco just released a new Frieren prize figure in Japan that recreates the anime scene of her crying and throwing a tantrum for three days and three nights. It is now in Japanese arcade crane game machines, and the Banpresto Amazon storefront says it will appear in the US on December 11, 2026. When it does show up outside Japan, it will cost $27.
The pose for this figure is designed to be an exact replica of her crying her eyes out for an unknown reason in a flashback of a tantrum scene in the season 2 Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End episode “Somewhere She’d Like.” In it, she’s telling Stark about one of her legendary outbursts and how it even humbled Himmel the hero. As such, she’s sitting on the floor with her knees against her chest and sobbing. Her mouth is gaping open, and huge translucent teardrops are at the corners of each of her scrunched shut eyes. Since she’s sitting, there’s no stand included.
Here’s how that looks from two different angles. She sits at about five inches tall (13cm).
It isn’t uncommon for Bandai Namco to release goofier figures of the character. In one, she’s wearing the outfit she’d wear if she needed to work for 300 years in a mine to repay a debt. A series of Gashapon mini figures featured her sleeping in various positions.
The Frieren crying tantrum figure already launched in Japan and will appear in the US on December 11, 2026. Crunchyroll is the streaming home of the anime adaptation, and Viz Media handles the manga.
