The Fora 230 (based off the real Fort 230) is an SMG introduced in the big 2.0 update for STALKER 2, and it's easily one of the best guns in its category thanks to its overall reliability. You can buy a Fora 230 from Ragman, one of the traders in Rostok, and it can be fitted with a 40-round extended mag as well. This SMG performs very well against small mutants and lightly-armored humans, and if you're itching to get one for yourself in STALKER 2, here's where you need to go (including the location for its extended magazine attachment).
You can get this SMG fairly early into the game by heading straight to the Rostok region, which is just west of the Slag Heap in Garbage. The trek from the Slag Heap to the Rostok bar should be fairly uneventful, and you should already be in good standing with the Stalkers there after you resolve the Ward's problem in Zalissya.
Once you get to Rostok, go to Ragman's shop across the bar, then buy the Fora 230 for around 13K Coupons. If you want to get more money fast in STALKER 2, try completing the Arena quests in Rostok, or selling some excess weapons and medical supplies.
The 40-round High-Capacity Magazine attachment for the Fora 230 can be found in the stash on top of the Cage POI in the Cement Factory region. The Cage is an anomalous skeleton of a building that will continuously deal Psi damage to you while you're inside. Thankfully, you can easily offset the damage by using bandages or medkits.
Make your way up to the roof of the Cage by crossing beams, jumping between platforms, and using stairs and ladders. Once you make it to the top, you'll find a stash in one corner of the roof alongside a SEVA-D suit.
The Fora 230 is compatible with pistol-caliber suppressors, particularly the one used by the PTM pistol.
For an SMG firing 9x19mm rounds, it's quite good. The combination of low recoil, high accuracy, decent range, and respectable damage output against soft targets makes this a very competent gun. If you're fighting armored enemies, aim for the head and use armor-piercing rounds to compensate for the low-power ammo it fires.
Another good thing about 9x19mm ammo is that it's cheaper, lighter, and more plentiful than rifle calibers. Even so, the Fora 230's damage stat is higher than those of the AR416, Fora-221, and the early 5.45x39mm AK rifles.
