Star Fox Adventures is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later today. It will be available as part of the GameCube Classics collection, available to anyone with a subscription.
This makes Star Fox Adventures the latest GameCube classic to get a new lease on life on Switch 2. With the GameCube library of games being famously hard to get hold of, it's been a relief to see them gradually get ported over. Star Fox Adventures has never been re-released before, so this will likely be the first time many of us are getting our hands on it.
Star Fox Adventures originally launched all the way back in 2002. It was developed by Rare before it was acquired by Microsoft, and was still pumping out games for Nintendo. In fact, the acquisition would go through the day after Star Fox Adventures launched, signalling the end of an era.
