As someone who has religiously used the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra since it launched in 2023, I'm really surprised and disappointed by the performance of its spiritual successor, the Kiyo V2 Pro. It improves the slow autofocus of the Ultra, adds a wider-angle lens, and offers the enhanced ability to capture in 4K60, which this family of webcams has been screaming out for. In almost every other way, though, this is a worse camera that's entirely reliant on companion software and AI enhancements that still don't help it look as good as the 2023 model. Its design might be refined in some senses, but its inconvenient shape and increased weight actually make it more difficult to grapple with. This isn't one I recommend creators spend $300 on.
Plenty of imagery customization through companion software
Smaller, but heavier than the Kiyo Pro Ultra
Can't be removed from its crocodile clip stand
Too bulky to actually sit in different positions on its crocodile stand
Requires Camo Studio and Synapse running to get full features
Image quality looks noticeably AI-enhanced compared to better cameras
