It's only the first day of the month and Remedy has already finished the Control Resonant patch it promised for October.
This is the new PS5 update headlined by an enhanced New Game+ mode, which will now let you play the campaign an infinite number of times. At launch, the mode was restricted to just one additional playthrough.
As far as I'm aware, Control Resonant doesn't have multiple endings or big story deviations based on your choices, so going through it again would mainly be just to continue the combat and exploration, I suppose. The options there now, anyway!
Elsewhere, the developer continues to tweak the game difficulty and make it easier to tell when you can upgrade your build. In the Unknown Zone, the amount of combat and its intensity has been decreased by 10-15%. Having applied the patch, you'll now see your overall Build Power level on the Loadout screen, and you'll get notifications when there's something you can upgrade in The Gap.
Remedy has already confirmed another update for November, which will add a Photo Mode to Control Resonant.
