It's been 15 years since we shed a tear and poured one out for a certain COG solider in Gears of War 3. And seeing as we're now just mere days away from the release of Gears of War: E-Day, I thought, what better time than now to ask you: which Gears of War launch trailer is the best?
Just a few days ago, The Coalition dropped its new 'Adagio' E-Day trailer. Featuring a harrowing rendition of Barber's Adagio for Strings, the new ad continued Gears' longstanding trend of shipping launch trailers featuring a sombre backing track over some heavy themes from within the Gears universe. It's gorgeous stuff.
Now, I'm pretty sure we all remember the 'Mad World' trailer from back in the day, but there's something extra saucy about that new trailer. Then, of course you've got Gears of War 2's ad, with the big lad himself, Marcus Fenix, brooding against a tree. It's a tough choice.
Come to think of it, almost all of the Gears trailers absolutely slapped. Take Gears of War 4, for instance. The game may not have been received very well, but baby JD turned COG chap made for a pretty wicked trailer.
