Officially announced in April, Kagurabachi’s anime adaptation has become one of the most anticipated releases of 2027. Hailed by many as one of the best new-gen shonen manga, this epic adventure strikes a perfect balance between serious themes and epic, oftentimes brutal, battles.
As such, it is no surprise that millions of fans are beyond excited about seeing their favorite moments come to life. This is largely due to the many awe-inspiring panels and scenes that fully utilize the dark fantasy setting of the series. Ariu, the prince of the Mikuboshi and delegate, gave a sinister speech, proclaiming his clan as the rightful owners of a large portion of the country, all while his men destroyed his enemies. It is a dark and shocking moment, but fans cannot wait to see it adapted in the future due to its intense battle scenes and outstanding art.
Within the world of Kagurabachi, Enchanted Blades are mystical weapons made with the rare metal Datenseki, allowing them to manifest special abilities and amplify the Spirit Power of the User. Cloud Gouger, one of the most powerful items in this collection and the weapon used by Sojo, allowed the wielder to manifest different weather-related abilities, such as summoning storm clouds or shooting ice.
Although Chihiro managed to destroy this blade early in the series, he decided to keep its lower half, knowing that it would come in handy later. The raid of the Rakuzaichi compound proved him right in one of the manga’s most iconic displays of power. The boy was capable of not only using the base powers of the blade in tandem with his own attacks, but he also summoned a special kind of black lightning, which greatly impressed fans.
