Final Fantasy 10 is now 25 years old, but Square Enix has continued finding ways to bring the classic RPG back into the spotlight. The game originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2001, introducing players to Tidus, Yuna, and the world of Spira before eventually becoming one of the most recognizable entries in the Final Fantasy series. Its anniversary has now given Square Enix another reason to revisit the game.
Final Fantasy 10 has already received multiple re-releases over the years, allowing newer players to experience its story and turn-based combat on modern platforms. For longtime fans, however, anniversary celebrations can also provide something different: physical releases tied directly to the original game. Square Enix is taking that approach again with a new Final Fantasy 10 release planned for later this year.
The centerpiece is Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm, a 2-disc vinyl collection built around the game's soundtrack, harkening back to the soundtrack's status as one of the best among all PS2 games. The set contains 20 selected Final Fantasy 10 songs, with tracks including “Zanarkand,” “Otherworld,” “This Is Your Story,” “Tidus's Theme,” “Besaid,” “Blitz Off!,” “Enemy Attack,” “Fight With Seymour,” “Yuna's Theme,” and “The Sending.” The records also use a clear design inspired by Spira's seaside environments, giving the Final Fantasy 10 release a distinctly collectible presentation.

Square Enix is also giving the Final Fantasy 10 collection new artwork for its anniversary, created by Tetsuya Nomura specifically for the occasion. Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm is scheduled to release in November 2026 and is currently available for pre-order at the link above (which also includes the complete soundtracks). Because it is an imported vinyl release from Japan, Square Enix warns that some packaging may be in Japanese and that customs could result in additional shipping delays.
Eternal Calm goes beyond those 20 songs, too. The Final Fantasy 10 vinyl set includes an MP3 download code providing 89 tracks from the original soundtrack, although Square Enix notes that two songs are excluded. The physical track list continues with songs such as “Hum Of The Fayth,” “Spira Unplugged,” and “Ending Theme.” The download code has a limited number of uses and may eventually have a time limit placed on it, but its inclusion gives the release some utility beyond the physical records, especially for fans without a turntable.
Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm ultimately gives the game's 25th anniversary a physical centerpiece without simply repackaging the RPG itself. With new artwork from Nomura and a clear design inspired by Spira, the November release is aimed squarely at fans who want something tangible to mark 25 years of Final Fantasy 10.
