Whether you’re looking to grab a new pet after chickens were shadowdropped into CS2, or just want to see what this random update is all about, chickens are shrouded in mystery thanks to Valve not acknowledging their addition to the game at all.

Currently, we know of three different variants of chickens in CS2. Each comes with a variety of different colors according to CS2Locker:
Currently, many have been finding Chicken Eggs in their Weekly Drops, with the egg appearing in both of your two reward slots and showing up next to you in the main menu, where you can inspect it.
So, it seems to be a random pull in the Weekly Drop.
Once you have the egg, you’ll need to simply wait. Fans have reported chicks to hatch automatically around a week after they got it. When it does hatch, it’ll turn into a chick.
It’s also important to note that when it has hatched, you need to feed your chick regularly, as it won’t grow up if you forget.
