While the gameplay trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake has been receiving plenty of praise from fans, it also prompted an incredibly mixed reaction to Link's new design and the high-fidelity visual direction of the newest entry in the series.
Despite the controversy, one thing fans have been able to universally agree on comes from Nintendo's decision to deliver a fully physical release for the Ocarina of Time Remake, which even has its own fancy special edition. While the foil pre-order bonus is an excellent way to celebrate the series, a new edition just dropped that will be completely unavailable to millions of players.
As if the limited pre-order bonus of the textured foil-printed cover for Ocarina of Time wasn't enough, as noted by Wario64 on X, Nintendo is also partnering with EB Games to release a Canadian-exclusive physical edition of the remake. Not only does the EB Games variant guarantee that you'll get a textured foil version on release, but it also comes with a Nintendo 64-themed slipcase.
The best part about the edition is that it won't cost players anything extra to get, as the slipcase will be offered to anyone who purchases the physical edition and brings their receipt to their local EB Games, while supplies last at least.
Offering a near-exact replica of the original Nintendo 64 version for Ocarina of Time, albeit a bit elongated to fit the more rectangular Switch 2 case, fans have already been having a mixed reaction to the announcement, with players praising the design while also chastizing Nintendo for locking it to one specific region.
While fans are understandably upset over the limited special edition, the Canadian variant isn't even the only one out there, as Nintendo is also offering a UK-exclusive variant that includes several additional pins included with pre-orders. When purchased through the European Nintendo Store, you'll get a pin for each piece of the Spiritual Stones Link collects in the story, on top of a replica of the Ocarina of Time you can play in-game.

Given that we're only a few days out from the Legend of Zelda anniversary Direct and still getting new special editions, it wouldn't be surprising if even more regional bonuses start popping up over the next few weeks as well, which will hopefully include more offerings of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time accessible to an even wider number of regions.
