In one of the least surprising updates you'll see this week, Sony has announced a delay for upcoming action adventure game, Kena: Scars of Kosmora.
Published by Sony and developed by Ember Lab, the game is now due for release on PS5 and PC sometime in 2027, though it doesn't have a firm date in place just yet.
The news comes via a new post on the PS Blog, in which the team explains the decision.
"We can’t wait to share a new installment of Kena’s story with you," the post reads.
"At the same time, we want to deliver a top-notch game that exceeds the quality we achieved with our 2021 debut, Bridge of Spirits, and at a much bigger scale. To do that we need just a bit more time. Pushing our release into 2027 gives us the ability to really polish the expanded game experience we want to deliver."
The post continues, providing a bit more detail on the sequel, which has a "broader and deeper scope" than the first game.
An older and more experienced spirit guide in the sequel, Kena sets off to the island of Kosmora in pursuit of guidance and to face her own inner demons.
The new setting has its own culture and history based around the four elements, but after a disaster wiped out one of the settlements, that history has become obscured.
