Microsoft has revealed the second batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, and there are few genuine corkers, including the console debuts of The Séance of Blake Manor and Mouthwashing, and the addition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - which only arrived on Xbox earlier this year.
The Séance of Blake Manor, a supernatural detective mystery, was released last year on PC. It casts you as a man sent to investigate the disappearance of a young woman in a remote part of Ireland in 1879 - a man who sees more than most people would, for both better and worse. Matt Wales described it as a "fantastically atmospheric" and "incredibly tense" adventure when he wrote about The Séance of Blake Manor last year, and Blake Manor finished as our 19th favourite game of 2025 in our big, annual list.
Mouthwashing, meanwhile, is a first-person horror with a PS1-style retro aesthetic, that tells a time-hopping story aboard a ship travelling through space. "Mouthwashing is a wildly inventive horror game that plays with the boundaries of time and space to exhilarating effect, and all with a gleeful glint in its large and unblinking eyeball," wrote Katherine in our Mouthwashing review.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade - an enhanced version of the first part of the Remake trilogy - was originally released in 2021, so its Xbox and Switch arrival earlier this year was a long time coming. Nevertheless, the FF7 Remake remains excellent, even if it's starting to show its age, as Alex Donaldson argued.
A fresh wave of games also means some games are leaving Xbox Game Pass. Notable leavers include Lucasarts games Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Grim Fandango Remastered, as well as co-op game Deep Rock Galactic.
