Bungie has revealed its next chapter in a blog post at bungie.net (which you can read for yourself here), which reveals its future plans for Destiny and Marathon. Of course, the reason you're here is that you know that Poria Torkan (Bungie's Studio Head) and Josh Deane (Head of Product and GM of Marathon) have announced that Bungie is not done with Destiny, and the first step in their plan involves returning Destiny 2's vaulted content, which can no longer be played.
While it's too early for Bungie to announce a roadmap of their plan, they have confirmed that they're beginning the work of bringing back vaulted campaigns, destinations, and raids, which could also entail strikes, crucible maps, and more. Below, we'll share what content has been vaulted so you can have an idea of what's set to return in the near future.
The original campaign for Destiny 2 that saw Dominus Ghaul lead the Cabal Red Legion to siege the Last City and the Traveler.
The first DLC expansion that had Guardians help to rescue Osiris from the Vex by assisting his Ghost, Sagira.
The second DLC expansion that brought Guardians back to Mars at the request of Anastasia Bray in an effort to stop an ancient Hive Worm god, Xol, Will of the Thousands, and to resurrect the ancient Warmind, Rasputin.
The third DLC expansion that saw Uldren Sov and the Barons murder Cayde-6, placing the Guardians in a revenge odyssey across the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City to avenge the fallen Hunter Vanguard.
We're unsure if Seasonal Stories and Seasonal Activities will be unvaulted, but it's highly unlikely, since these were part of the seasonal model and not paid expansions.
Guardians infiltrate the world-eating ship of Calus, the exiled former emperor of the Cabal.
