Grand Theft Auto: Vice City can once again be played directly inside a web browser, months after Take-Two forced a previous browser port offline.
Fans waiting for GTA 6 to return to Vice City on November 19 can now revisit Rockstar’s 2002 classic without installing it on their computer.
A website called Quenq is hosting what it describes as the complete version of GTA Vice City, which launches inside an embedded browser window after players select “Play Game.”
Quenq says the game runs using WebAssembly and streams the map as players drive around, avoiding a large initial download.
The port supports keyboard and mouse controls, Xbox and PlayStation controllers, and touchscreen controls for mobile devices. An integrated save manager also lets players upload existing .b save files from the PC or PS2 versions before downloading backups of their progress.

However, players may need to adjust some settings to keep everything working correctly. The website warns that running Vice City with an unlocked frame rate can cause physics bugs and even make certain missions impossible to complete.
Quenq recommends limiting the game to its original 30 FPS if these problems occur. Hardware acceleration must also be enabled in the browser for the game to run properly.
