It's been a busy week for Nintendo fans, with the company squeezing in two Directs in as many days, and filling out the rest of the 2026 gaming calendar with more Switch games than anyone could reasonably play.
On the first-party front, the regular Direct presentation revealed new Metroid and Kirby games, but honestly we're still trying to process the abundance of detail in the Ocarina Direct (yes, technically it was a 40th anniversary deal, but the Switch 2 remake was the focus of the show). Following the threadbare official reveal of the Zelda: Ocarina of Time's existence back in June, we've been desperate for more details - and boy, did we get them.
Across the three-minute trailer, Eiji Aonuma's extended gameplay video, and clips from the game's Japanese website, we've glimpsed areas and scenes covering the breadth of the game, from the first scene to the final battle.
