Onimusha: Way of the Sword is releasing on PC and console – including Nintendo Switch 2 – very soon.
Miyamoto Musashi’s sword-swinging adventure is one of the sharpest action games Capcom has ever made, and if you’ve played Capcom action games, you know just how lofty that praise is.
In this guide, we’re breaking down when you can start playing Onimusha: Way of the Sword on all platforms, including PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. You can now pre-load the game on all platforms except the Epic Games Store, just look below to see when you can start playing.
Console players can expect to play Onimusha: WOTS at midnight local time on launch day. That applies to most regions, at least, as North America seems to unlock at midnight EDT instead. These are the release times for PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2 in most regions.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version also launches at 12 AM, Sept 4, in most regions, but there are two exceptions in Central America:
The PC version is available to pre-load right now and has a simultaneous global launch set for 12 AM EDT. Check our list below for the time in your time zone.
As with most games, Onimusha WOTS is available in New Zealand slightly ahead of most of the world, and you can use the region to play the game slightly earlier than your friends in your time zone.
On PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll need a dedicated New Zealand region account, and you’ll need to purchase the game using that account.
