Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association has cancelled the fifth day of Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 21 due to an approaching typhoon predicted to cause strong winds and heavy rain, the company announced.
Tokyo Game Show 2026, which kicked off on September 17 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, was meant to be the exhibition’s first ever five-day event in celebration of its 30th anniversary.

Due to the approaching typhoon, strong winds and heavy rain are expected from the afternoon of September 21. There is also a possibility that public transportation services may be affected, making it difficult for visitors and other attendees to return home safely.
Taking the safety of all attendees, exhibitors, staff, and other parties involved as our highest priority, we have decided to cancel the event for the entire day on September 21.
We sincerely apologize for this last-minute notice and for the significant inconvenience this may cause.
