Fortnitemares has kicked off in Fortnite, bringing even more content to celebrate Halloween. This month-long event brings popular IPs like A Nightmare on Elm Street onto the island in the form of POIs and bosses, while also allowing players to wield some spooky items like the Witch Broom and more. Free rewards have also been added into the mix, and while most players may be grinding to unlock the Jack-a-Nape Skin, players can also get their hands on a free raccoon Sidekick, Jimothy.
To get the free Jimothy Sidekick, you will need to complete the 'extract a silly little guy' secret quest. This can be done by finding and extracting the Dumpster Dive Sprite. Since any Dumpster Dive Sprite is required, you do not necessarily need to stick strictly to searching for the base variant, but since all Sprites are obtained relatively the same way, you can simply use your regular Sprite-hunting methods to find it.
If you find yourself playing Fortnite as a solo, here are some of the best methods to get a Dumpster Dive Sprite:
As for squad players, your best way to get the Dumpster Dive Sprite right away is to trade. This means that you can have another player drop it for you, or drop one for them to unlock the Jimothy Sidekick for free. If you are looking for more players to trade with, leave a comment down below.
Jimothy does not have any color customization or style options like most other Sidekicks, so you will have to stick with the base look he comes with when running him. He does, however, have a few free rewards that you can earn by earning Sidekick Points as you play with Jimothy equipped. Here's every reward you can earn:
