Sony is pushing out a new PS5 firmware patch that updates the console to version 26.06-14.10.00. This will be another phased release, so you might not get it straight away, but the prompt to update the PS5 firmware should appear soon.
Compared to recent PS5 firmware updates and yesterday's news of QSSR visual enhancements for base PS5 owners, today's system patch is much more low-key. Here's what you can expect, as per the patch notes from Sony:
The trusted mention of software stability and performance is always welcome from PlayStation, but today it is paired with some security fixes. At least PlayStation is looking out for its backend and trying its best to prevent anyone from gaining access.
