Here's everything you know about hero vote tracking in Deadlock.
Deadlock is getting a new package of heroes, with players able to vote on who gets added to the game first. The voting system has changed a bit this time around, so instead of casting your ballot in the main menu screen, you do it in the pre-game instead.
But voting blind isn’t so fun, which begs the question: can you track how many votes a hero has in Deadlock? Here’s everything we know.
Officially, Deadlock has no means to track votes on each individual hero, at least not the totals. With the new voting system, Deadlock shows you how many votes a particular hero got during the game, giving you a strong indication of fan inclinations and which hero you could expect to see added next. Currently, every match I’ve played has been utterly dominated by Deadman Danny votes, but Baba has also been saturating my match-end screen by a significant amount.
Over on social media, you can check either the Deadlock subreddit or 4Chan’s Deadlock general chat, as well as the two Discord channels, the official and the community-made one. Each of these has its own leading voting preferences, with 4Chan, for example, heavily supporting the addition of Deadman Danny at the moment, while I’ve been seeing an exceptional quantity of Violet art and supporters on Reddit and Discord.
At the moment, this is how things work in the game, until Valve caves in and actually lets us know which heroes have the lead. Blind voting also ensures there is no bias toward voting for the most popular hero, giving each character a somewhat fair chance.
