Hori announced a new Switch 2 controller and accessories based on Espeon and Umbreon from Pokemon. These will be available in November 2026 in Japan. Since we do eventually see items from the company worldwide, like its recent Ditto Pikachu controller,
All items are available through the Horistore, Amazon, or Rakuten. As the name of the line “Starlight Night” suggests, these peripherals feature abundant stellar imagery. Between these star symbols and the purple, they almost have a witch-y aesthetic that matches the upcoming spooky season. That being said, this likely connects to how Espeon and Umbreon evolve depending on the type of day. Even the zipper charms on the pouches feature a sun and a moon.

The previously released Animal Crossing peripherals from Hori appeared internationally via Amazon. So it’s likely that you’ll be able to get these items there as well, even if you don’t live in Asia.
These aren’t the only new announcements from Hori. Hori also recently revealed peripherals and decoration kits featuring Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin. These items will appear in October and November 2026.
As for the actual Pokemon games themselves, we will be getting Winds and Waves, the first game of Generation X, in 2027. The game seems like it’ll take place on an island, and it features two Pikachu dressed in tropical get-ups. This game will have a simultaneous worldwide launch in 2027, and more information on the Pokemon and story will appear closer to its release window.
