The General is teaming up with Capcom to bring the destroyable car from Street Fighter II to life, and you have a chance to win it — along with more than $25,000 in gas money.
Street Fighter II’s iconic bonus stage lets players beat the literal brakes off of a Lexus LS 400. It’s a feature that’s stayed with the series throughout the years, challenging fighting game fans to beat it to a pulp within a certain time limit.
It’s even referenced in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, with trailers showing Noah Centineo’s Ken Masters punching and kicking a car to bits while surrounded by a crowd of adoring fans.
More than 30 years later, this car is coming to the real world, thanks to a joint collaboration between The General Insurance (yes, that General), Capcom, and Vehicle Effects, a Los Angeles-based company that makes custom rides of all sorts, many of which have been featured in films and TV shows.
Vehicle Effects has made a recreation of the pixelated Lexus from Street Fighter II — though we don’t recommend you actually destroy it if you end up winning it in their sweepstakes. Starting in October, fans have until November 18 to enter the sweepstakes for a chance at snagging the car for themselves, as well as $25,400.69 (nice) in gas money.
And hey, it’s a pretty good car; as pointed out by Eventhubs, the Lexus LS 400 is widely considered to be one of the most “overengineered” cars of all time, with a 4.0-liter V8 engine that’s been nicknamed the "million-mile engine.” (It’s the only thing left behind after you destroy it in the bonus stage, after all.)
On top of its pixelated paint job and upgraded sound system, the words “you” and “win” are emblazoned on both the driver’s side and passenger side headrests, and you can even insert a literal coin to activate its accompanying seat warmers. It’s hard to kick butt when you’ve got cold glutes, after all.
The Street Fighter movie releases in theaters on October 16, 2026. Just today, it was revealed that the movie will feature animated segments diving into Ryu and Ken’s backstory with their master, Gouken, and Akuma. We got the chance to speak to the cast of the film ahead of time, including David Dastmachian, who told us all about how he studied real-life cult leaders to bring M. Bison to the big screen.
