Vesna is a playable Anemo character in Genshin Impact. She deals Stellar Swirl DMG through her kit and Elemental reactions, which means it's better to build her around Stellar Swirl. The best build for Vesna would be to give her the Beyond the Chrysalis weapon and the 4pc Scarlet Proof artifact set in Genshin Impact. In this guide, I'll go over the best build for Vesna, explaining why they work for her, and provide some F2P alternatives.
Each time the equipping character uses their Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst, they gain one of the following three effects in sequence: Winds of Devotion: Increases the equipping character's CRIT DMG by 56% for 10s; Winds of Defiance: Increases Stellar Swirl reaction DMG dealt by the equipping character by 36% for 10s; and Winds of Plenty: Regenerates 5 Elemental Energy for the equipping character. Up to 5 Elemental Energy can be regenerated in this way every 4s.
The aforementioned effects are removed, and the sequence is reset when the equipping character leaves the field.
Beyond the Chrysalis is Vesna's signature weapon and her best-in-slot. When using the 5-star sword, Vesna gets around 100% Crit DMG, which is insane for any DPS in Genshin Impact. Beyond the Chrysalis also increases her Stellar Swirl reaction DMG alongside regenerating her Energy. Add to that the high Base ATK, which is perfect for a character like Vesna, who depends on her ATK% to inflict and buff her DPS.
Getting 56% Crit DMG on the first Elemental Skill use is perfect for Vesna, as it gives her the biggest part of the weapon's passive effect immediately. The high Base ATK means she needs to have ATK% on both her Timepiece and Goblet when building Vesna's artifacts in Genshin Impact.
All in all, if you're planning to use Vesna as a main DPS, it's safe to say she needs Beyond the Chrysalis, or she'll suffer a notable DPS loss with the other options.
