Prime Video has confirmed a new, one-off episode of its Clarkson’s Farm series, which will see host Jeremy Clarkson temporarily return to his Top Gear and The Grand Tour roots for an automotive-themed special.
Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special will see Clarkson attempt what Prime proposes is a world first: he will grow and build his own car from produce sourced from his personal farm, Diddly Squat.
Using the Jaguar F-Type V6S as his base, Clarkson will be restoring it using his own Diddly leather interior and wool carpets, and will also be attempting to grow a crop of flax fiber to turn into a sustainable flax-composite material – an alternative to carbon fiber Prime claims is already on the radar of major car makers.
Clarkson will be aided in his car-building quest by legendary car designer Ian Callum CBE. Callum is the designer of the original Jaguar F-Type, as well as the Jaguar XK and C-X75, plus the Aston Martin Vanquish, DB7, and DB9. He was also involved with the Ford RS200 and the Nissan R390.
Jeremy Grows a Car: A Clarkson’s Farm Special will air in 2027.
