GTA 5's Nopixel V Roleplay Server Release Explained

GTA 5's Nopixel V Roleplay Server Release Explained

Grand Theft Auto 5 has undergone countless changes and complete transformations over the 13 years since its initial release, but outside of limited-time events or new activities, Los Santos itself hasn't really changed all that much. While this does mean returning to GTA 5 is just as nostalgic as ever, fans have been making countless jokes over the fact that construction areas like the Skyscraper in the center of the city are still unfinished.

One of these jokes will finally be coming to an end, however, as to celebrate the release of one of its most ambitious game modes yet, Rockstar has completed several construction projects around Los Santos, including none other than the unfinished Mile High Club.

As noted by DiscussingFilm on X, the change won't be available for all players, however, as the newly updated map will be exclusively available for players on the newest NoPixel V roleplay servers. While Rockstar has previously teased their official partnership with NoPixel in the past, the newest update will finally see the fruits of the nearly year-long deal.

While the previous NoPixel servers aren't going anywhere with the newest release, they won't be getting many of the new features exclusive to the officially partnered roleplay servers, which you'll be able to watch for yourself when the servers go live for a select number of streamers on September 8.

Even regular GTA 5 players can benefit from the event as well, as simply turning into the streams between September 8 and September 30 will allow you to earn up to $1.5M in GTA Online cash, as well as some exclusive BurgerShot-themed outfits through Twitch Drops.

Just like the previous NoPixel servers, the upcoming release of NoPixel 5 isn't one that you'll be able to simply look up and log into at random, as the exclusive servers have a strict whitelist policy that requires a high-quality microphone, internet connection, a unique character backstory, and even passing a test before you can join.

Unfortunately, even dedicated roleplayers won't be able to access the NoPixel V servers for quite some time, as the current closed beta will be limited to exclusively invited streamers, before slowly rolling out larger and larger tests in the future. If you're wondering what exactly makes NoPixel V different from a typical roleplay server, you can expect the following features in the full release:

Although we'll have to wait until September 8 to see all of the new features in action, the initial reveal trailer posted by Nopixel on YouTube already looks like the mode was well worth the wait.
