Held Items are important equipment for your Aniimo, since they can enhance their power, defense, and abilities. You might have obtained some here and there, but the question is: How can you equip them? The problem with Held Items is like most of the content in Aniimo, is that it's locked behind certain prerequisites. Learn how to unlock Held Items, how to obtain more, and how to equip them on your Aniimo with this guide.
Held Items can be obtained by defeating Alpha Aniimo or by finding them after completing Sanctuaries, Special Events, or Journey Discoveries. They vary in shape, effects, and qualities (Blue, Purple, Gold), but they share one thing in common: They cannot be equipped right away. This happens because you must be at least Student Level III to unlock the Held Item Slots on your Aniimo.
So, first, you need to complete a series of quests that include various parts of the Elite Training Core Courses, leveling up your character, and then answering a questionnaire (Dr. Lewis at the Outpost). Once you have reached Student Level III, you can finally equip Held Items.
To Equip Held Items, you need to open your Aniimo Management Tab (P), then select the Aniimo you want. Then, select the Training Menu (bottom right). After that, select the Held Item Tab (top right).

Take into consideration that using Held Items of the same value to upgrade another will increase the number of upgrade levels you get, though in terms of economy, it is less efficient than using Cores.
Each time you upgrade a Held Item, its core stats increase, making its effects more powerful and consequently increasing the power of the Aniimo that has it equipped.
