Naruto is one of the most iconic and legendary anime and manga series of all time. Originally created by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto became a global icon after the success of the anime. Sadly, the series reached its end as a manga in 2014 and as an anime in 2017. Since the unfortunate conclusion of the Naruto series, fans have been eagerly waiting for new content.
After 9 long years, Naruto's appearance in a new event has been officially booked. It has been confirmed that Naruto will appear at the New York Comic Con event on October 10. Through the official website, a new official big project is now confirmed to be on the way, and it'll all be revealed to us alongside special guest appearances. October 10, which also happens to be Naruto's birthday, is looking to be the day when the Naruto franchise finally gets revived, and that's something we are incredibly excited for. The Shonen sphere is in desperate need of some old smash hits to return, and Naruto is set to do just that.

Initially inaugurated on February 24, 2006, the event has become a global phenomenon, and fans are always excited to tune in for the big announcements that are made there. New York Comic Con will see stages for many popular series, and among them are anime series as well. It was officially revealed on August 19, 2026, via Viz Media, the official publisher of Naruto in the US, that Kishimoto's series would be included in the NY Comic Con lineup.
The Naruto franchise previously ended in 2017 when it comes to its anime by Studio Pierrot, so we’re all excited to see what project will be announced in two months for the series. This could be the perfect opportunity to get a full revival of the franchise after almost 10 years of hiatus. No other guest has been confirmed so far, but more could be added to the list. We expect Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama to show us live performances of their characters, and perhaps even answer questions that fans might have. Of course, it must also be mentioned that this event seems to be quite big for the Naruto series. Aside from the big announcement teased, fans should keep in mind that October 10 is actually Naruto Uzumaki's birthday. The timing seems quite intentional, and if there is a perfect date to revive the franchise, it's undoubtedly this one.
