Diamond Cat Studio has announced Ylem’s Cat, an action adventure game driven by the bond between a girl and her cat. It will be available for PC via Steam. A release date was not announced.

Ylem’s Cat is an action adventure game driven by the bond between a girl and her cat. Led by curiosity and knowledge, Molly sets out on a journey to find her missing mother across a dying planet, exploring ruins and uncovering the truth buried within the giants.
In the wake of a disaster, a mysterious cat who can change its form saves you. You name it “Mio” after the sound it makes. You and Mio now share the same heartbeat—but that doesn’t mean you’re always on the same page. After all, it’s a cat. It has its own habits, its own moods, and a whole trail of questions: Where did it come from? Why did it save you? How do you even get along with it? As you travel together, the answers begin to surface. But the real bond between you? That was never there from the start.
What are the silent giants? What is the newborn giant? Why are the Sentinels hunting your cat? And what, exactly, is your cat? Every thread leads back to your missing mother. To find her—and to find the truth—you follow the path she once walked. And the answer you’ll uncover will go far beyond the questions you asked.

The things you’ve always taken for granted—the shifting orbit of the Giant, the pulse of Ylem, the movements of the Sentinels—might hold rules you’ve never noticed. Learn how this world works. Observe what lies beneath the surface. That knowledge will keep you from losing your way, and it might just keep you alive in a fight. Knowledge is the strongest weapon you and Mio carry.
When you hit a wall or run into danger, don’t forget your cat. There are problems only Mio can solve—sometimes gracefully, sometimes… less so. In combat, the more you learn to fight together, the easier it becomes. In exploration, keep an eye on Mio—the little cat has its own curiosities, and those might matter more than you think. Don’t leave it behind. At the end of this road, you’ll face something that only the two of you can complete together.
