Squad Battles is one of the less popular Ultimate Team game modes. It pits you against other players' teams, but they're controlled by an AI that you can change the difficulty level of. While this means you can tailor the level of challenge to your preferences (or make it incredibly easy to win by 10 or 20 goals, the level of rewards on offer is significantly worse than those in the other game modes as a result.
If you only play a handful of Squad Battles matches each week, make sure you play the Featured Squad and Team of the Week teams each week. These earn you significantly more points than beating other teams do.
Champs rewards are added to your account as soon as you've completed your 15 matches for the week. If you don't finish all 15 of your matches by the time Champions ends (around 10pm ET on the Monday), then you'll receive your rewards at that time.
FUT Champs runs from 1pm ET on Friday until about 10pm ET on Monday. It's the game mode in Ultimate Team that offers the best rewards and is incredibly competitive.
