Hunters in Solo Leveling are not created equal. Upon awakening their powers, every Hunter is measured, and their grade is determined. While the weakest of the bunch are known as E-Rank Hunters, the strongest are classified as S-Rank Hunters. Even among the S-Ranks, there is a massive disparity in power. In fact, some are so powerful that they go on to achieve the title of National Level Hunter.
National Level Hunters are hunters so powerful that they could take down a whole country all by themselves. Canonically, in Solo Leveling, there are only four National Level Hunters that are recognized by the Hunter Association, those being Thomas Andre, Liu Zhigang, Christopher Reed, and Siddharth Bachchan. Unfortunately, in the main Solo Leveling story, Siddharth Bachchan was quite an irrelevant character overall, despite his high ranking. Solo Leveling: Arise is officially fixing that and bringing him into the game in full force. With his Hunter origin story, we could also get to learn more about this mysterious National Level Hunter from India.
Solo Leveling had its grand breakthrough in 2024 when its anime adaptation by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures finally aired. With its massive success, the series quickly followed up with a new video game by Netmarble Studio, which was also released in 2024, known as Solo Leveling: Arise. This release is a gacha-style video game, and because of that, we see continuous updates every month, giving us new additions, including new characters and weapons. Solo Leveling: Arise is not canon, but it keeps expanding on the lore of Solo Leveling in its own way.
Most recently, new Solo Leveling: Arise update plans were revealed by Netmarble Studio on August 25, 2026. The studio officially confirmed that they are going to be adding one of Solo Leveling's most underrated National Level Hunters to the game, that being Siddharth Bachchan, the National Level hunter from India. By simply being a National Level Hunter, Siddharth Bachchan is expected to be a force to be reckoned with. Sadly, as far as the original story goes, we don't even have a full illustration of this character, and have only seen him for a very brief moment in the manhwa. This means that through the new Solo Leveling: Arise update, we will finally get to see the full design of Siddharth Bachchan for the first time in Solo Leveling history.
It goes without saying that this is exciting, and we can't wait to see what kind of powers and abilities the game gives him. We don't know exactly when Siddharth Bachchan will be released, but it is going to be in one of the upcoming Solo Leveling Arise updates, meaning in a couple of months, before the end of 2026. This new release comes after the addition of National Level Hunter Liu Zhigang back in June 2026.
As previously mentioned, when it comes to the National Level Hunters of the Solo Leveling world that are officially recognized, Siddharth Bachchan is the most underutilized one who Chugong completely cast to the side. In fact, we don't know anything about him aside from the fact that he hails from India and that he is the fourth strongest in the world overall. We also know that he was involved in the Kamish Raid. Chugong’s underutilization of this character has left the door wide open for Solo Leveling: Arise to swoop in and get creative with him. As many fans of Solo Leveling: Arise know, whenever a major character is added, they are accompanied by what is known as a Hunter Origin Story. A Hunter Origin Story is a one-shot manhwa commissioned by Solo Leveling: Arise to explore the backstory of a specific character. We will see his full backstory, which, at the moment, we have no information on.
It must be briefly mentioned, however, that technically Siddharth Bachchan was expanded on in the Solo Leveling Ragnarok novel by Daul. He was involved in the Asura Guild Arc, which has yet to make it into the Manhwa, marking his first big moment in the story. Through this arc, it was revealed that he gained some dragon powers after undergoing a reawakening of his memories and power in the new timeline. He also ends up dying and is then turned into one of Suho’s Shadows, Sita. Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, however, is not completely canon and does not act as a true continuation of Chugong’s story. Because of that, it’s unclear whether Solo Leveling: Arise will follow Solo Leveling: Ragnarok or if they will choose to deviate and add their own twist to the character. Arise has never followed the lore of Ragnarok, and mostly follows the original lore created by Chugong, so it’s going to be interesting to see how Siddharth Bachchan is handled.
