Insomniac spoiled Marvel fans with the number of suits it gave Peter and Miles across the three Spider-Man games so far. Naturally, Wolverine has followed in those footsteps. However, one of the suits fans of the character will be itching to unlock right away is unattainable until late in the game unless you have a Disney Plus subscription.
The suit in question is the Yellow Variant. While you might be saying to yourself, “Well, aren’t most of Wolverine’s suits yellow?” Yes, you’re right. However, this suit is the one Wolverine dons in Deadpool & Wolverine. Not only does that mean it’s the most recent live-action Wolverine suit we’ve seen, but it’s also the only one he has worn in the MCU so far.
I know Fox’s X-Men movies are technically a part of the MCU too, now. You know what I mean.
All of that means a lot of fans, particularly casual gamers, are going to want this suit right away, maybe for the entire game. The bad news is quite a few of you won’t be able to. You can’t craft the Yellow Variant suit until mission 22, which, as the number implies, is pretty deep into the game. You’re basically only going to be wearing it for that final stretch.
Now it’s being used for video games too, but the problem is the program is still so new that it isn’t available worldwide. If you’re reading this in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, or Argentina - good news! Disney Plus Perks is available in your part of the world, and you can unlock the Yellow Variant suit whenever you like by redeeming it through the Perks website.
If you live anywhere else, like me, tough luck. You’re going to have to grind for that suit. The good news is there is NG+, and any of the suits you unlocked during your first playthrough will come with you. If you want to be MCU Wolverine for the entire game, you’ll have to either wait for a worldwide rollout of Disney Plus Perks, or beat the game and start again.
