Persona fans with a sweet tooth are in luck, as the franchise is teaming up with bakery Beard Papa's to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the JRPG series in September. Though the company is a Japanese brand, it has numerous locations in the United States, which will be participating in the Persona collaboration.
Sega and Atlus opened a website at the end of 2025 to celebrate the momentous occasion for the Persona series, with new reveals expected regularly throughout 2026. Since then, the Persona franchise has been rolling out all kinds of collaborations, events, and new releases both in Japan and beyond. With a few months left to go before the end of the year, it looks like Persona fans still have more to look forward to.
Now, a new collab between Japanese bakery Beard Papa's and Persona has been revealed. From September 2 through October 4, Beard Papa's locations will be offering Persona-themed cream puffs, collectibles, merchandise, and more. The biggest draw will likely be the cream puffs themselves, with the chain offering three unique creations themed upon the games.
New artwork featuring the protagonists from the original Persona game all the way through Persona 5: The Phantom X has been showcased, with the chibi-style art showing the characters sitting on cream puffs and holding Beard Papa's products. The illustrations are being utilized as blind box acrylic standees, with eight in all to collect, and on stickers, totes, mugs, and attire. Fans who buy a Persona 4-pack or 6-pack of cream puffs will receive a Persona x Beard Papa's sticker sheet or one random acrylic standee, respectively, plus an in-game code that can be redeemed in series spin-off Persona 5: The Phantom X.
Fans of the Persona series have had no shortage of things to look forward to and do involving the series this year, and there's still more to come. One new addition the Persona community has been excited about is the addition of alternate Persona 3 Portable playable protagonist Kotone Shiomi to the cast of Persona 5: The Phantom X. The 2024 remake Persona 3 Reload notably left out Kotone, leaving her relegated to Persona 3 Portable and the spin-off Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. Her arrival in P5X will mark the first time she's received a modern 3D model, so many fans of the game are looking forward to it. Persona will also be getting official cards and decks in Cardfight Vanguard in December. Further releases or collaborations may also arrive before the year's end, so Persona fans should keep a look-out for more.
