Nintendo announced that both North America and Europe will get a Pokemon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 Edition that will put the game and Mega Dimension DLC on a single cartridge. It will launch in both regions on October 29, 2026. It will not involve a game-key cart. A price wasn’t mentioned yet, but the base game is $69.99, the DLC is $29.99, and the digital copy of the bundle is $99.99.
This physical version of the Switch 2 game will also work like the original Pokemon Legends: Z-A cartridge. If someone buys it, it will work on both the original Switch and new system. So someone who gets this copy will also have the game and expansion for that platform as well.
Nintendo also noted that this comes with a digital bonus in both regions. A serial code is inside the box alongside the cartridge. When redeemed, you can get 100 Ultra Balls. That code can be entered once you start the game and unlock the Mystery Gift feature, allowing you to enter it there to claim them.
Both the North American and European box art is identical for this release.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A and the Mega Dimensions DLC expansion is on the Switch and Switch 2 worldwide and will appear bundled together on a physical cartridge in North America and Europe on October 29, 2026.
